What's going to happen to the PC/PS2 PSU trading forum?

Don't shut down the PS2 and PC trading forums! People on the Japanese version can still use them! The JP version is not being shut down!

I've never seen the JP players use the Pc/Ps2 trade forum to trade. Ever.

PSU will never have private servers, so don't get your hopes up. Everything I've been hearing all points to an encryption thats way too tough for anyone to crack. So the PS2/PC dies here.

I wouldn't think so, not yet, or for a while.
I bet they have at least a year-year and a half left. Maybe more, probably more.

I guess I'll agree with Cranberry here and say that the PS2/PC Trading Section should stick around for those on the JP server.

@HeartBreak: You never know... Hackers are always finding ways around anything. WIth the entire game's code laid out before them, a team, and plenty of time, I have no doubt private servers could be made. Not that we endorse those on the PSO-W

I remember reading that SEGA doesn'e even host those servers. So while they may be running, I'm pretty sure SEGA has for the most part, abandoned them.

Wait, are you saying that Sega can actually program something of quality?

SEGA of Japan still runs and manages them. (JP PSOBB servers.) I play on them, in fact.

They even continue to do GM support there, and live events.
