Speaking of that article, it's an interview with Sakai and Fujishita. Not much info that we don't already have, but here are a few tidbits of note.

    * There are no plans to raise the level cap in the near future.
    * Boost items (EXP, PA EXP, etc.) will have durations that range from 15 minutes to one hour.
    * The timer on the boost item will stop counting down if you log out, and then resume when you log in again.
    * Similar boost items will not stack, however differing ones will. For example, you cannot use two EXP boosters at the same time, however you can use one EXP booster with one PA EXP booster.
    * Among other things, the Stamp Shop will offer some items that were available previously only as event rewards.

4Gamer.net will be running a series of articles detailing this big update. Probably next week we'll have the next one.

How long has Japan been at 180? Hasn't it been about a year? >.>

My first screenshot of my JP odyssey is from april 2009, and the people there were already in lvl 180, so the cap was raised at least.... the week before. XD

Any chance for Legacy of Light rotation?

I'm wondering if I should save my Photon Spheres until the update...

I really want a Prophets of Motav wand.

No, they're GC only. And it seems that they may only be available though the GC Gacha, but we'll find out for sure Thursday.

Just about one week short of a year, it turns out. We got the LV180 cap on March 12, 2009.

Actually, instead of stopping at lv 180. they should stop at lv 200.

They're stopping the level cap at 180? o_O; How awkward. Why not place it at 200 like the game was "intended" too? :P

No, Fujishita didn't say it was stopping at 180, he just said that there are no plans for the near future to raise it. I'm sure we'll see an increase well before the game comes to an end.
As it stands, I'm fine at 180. This gives me a good chance to accumulate AEXP for AP to spend on customization options.
