Yes, any difficulty in Paru, has a chance to drop a wild mag. I've never seen a wild mag drop elsewhere.

Actually, he means Mags found in rare boxes. And yes, they're found in Paru. The shining thing about them are, their PB is completely random. So you can have, for example, a Ymh with Flozir instead of Pacifal.

Rare boxes? As in, yellow boxes or red item drops?

A wild mag can be found in a regular box and when it drops, it's a red item, if that's what you meant.

I'm thinking WiFi may have a higher % chance of them dropping. I know WiFi had better drop %s for rares, so... that makes sense. I've done several offline Paru runs, without finding any wild mags. Then I did 1 WiFi solo run and found a wild mag, though not the one I'm hunting for.

So to those hunting this: Hunt it on WiFi for better chances.

Bumping due to an update. Fixed my original mag hunt with something that should make it a hell of a lot easier. Also added another mag to the hunt.

I recommend that if you find the first mag I'm hunting for, from the sewer shop, toss it junk melee weapons you find. Only needs to get to lvl 10, I think, to find out it's nature.

That way you:
• Possibly find the mag I want or maybe one you want
• Don't waste your meseta
• Quick disposal of junk melee items
• Gain experience/Level your character
• Possibly find better gear for yourself

You can tell what nature a mag will have right at level 1, so you don't have to wait until level 10 to find out. Try this:

Buy a mag from the Sewer Shop. Use one Force weapon, one Hunter weapon, and one Armor, all of the same star level (I recommend lower levels, like 1-3), and feed them to the mag in that order (Force, then Hunter, then Armor). Compare the results.

If the Power stat is slightly higher, it will be Playful.
If the Guard stat is slightly higher, it will be Timid.
If the Mind stat is slightly higher, it will be Healing.
If all three stats are equal, it will be Hungry.
