Challenge mode glitch?

Whenever I try to do offline challenge mode, one of the barriers in forest 2 never leaves. I looked over every room for the switch. Eventually, I gave up and looked at some guides, but apparently, I found the switch and nothing happens. Has this happened for anyone else?

There's some barriers that require one person to stand on a switch while someone else runs through the barrier. Switches don't always stay activated.

I remember it being a press-able switch. The barrier was guarding the warp to the Central Dome exterior.
