Offline Cheating

Online Cheating
Any of the above methods will cause rares to stop dropping, *if* the user of these codes is running those versions and is the leader of the created game. If a stacker/magger is in the game, and you, the leader, are not using such items, rares will still drop.

Use a Hacked Mag? Stack?
The bank removes these drop rate penalties. Bank your Mag or stacks, and POWER OFF your system. Turn it back on, and as long as these items stay in the bank, drop rates will not be affected. So, you unlegits out there, 1231 Mags and Stacks can still be used for fast training and mag raising.

I was wondering if there was any proof? Was this obtained by game data or just doing tests? I have a theory that maybe multi-equipping affects only some rares? I've been hunting ruins with a purplenum while multi-equipping in attempts to find the spread needle, and the only rares I find are the L&K and the Mahu, so is there any chance that some rares get turned off while others don't?

Multi equip doesn't affect drop rates, the game can't recogonize multi equip.
Sega never implemented a method that only affects some rares and rare drops, either they drop or they don't, you are just unlucky.

You can verify what is said by testing it, especially with easy drops (often related with rare enemies) and then try 1000 times to see if you get the item.

Regarding ver.2, alot easier, becomes suspicious that something is wrong after 2 or 3 rooms, becomes clear after you destroy a big box, this because the item doesn't apear (yes, big boxes and normal boxes on ver.2 often have rare items such as varistas, club of l., db's sabers,god units, 9 or +9 armors and shields,......)
