Stupid question but when I go to give the upgrade item to my mysynth it won't allow me to. Does it need to be in shared storage or something?

The MySynth can't be in your Party at the same time.

The demo only has around 30 Titles available, even if you can technically achieve the goals in the demo you wont get the Title... however you will get the title immediately once you transfer to the full game, so you can fulfill the requirements in the trial and get the Title as soon as you play the full game.
