PSP faceplate color suggestions?

Alright, I'm looking at faceplates (front only) for my PSP 1000. I have a black PSP 1000, and I'm wondering what a silver faceplate would look like with the black buttons...somehow I don't think it'll look too good, but I want your opinion, guys. Maybe I should just get a new black one? Maybe red? How about gold?...er...maybe not. I'm looking for a replacement since mine is all scratched up (not my fault...I got this used from a friend who's had it for years). Any suggestions?

EDIT: Here are the colors I'm thinking of. Red, blue, silver.

My friend got me a white faceplate for my PSP 2000 modell.
It looks decent enough, but a pure colour is a better idea.

I recently got myself a red PSP 3000, and it looks great. =)
