"Jack Squat of All Trades" - Contest For The Commons: Deadline Extended to: October 8

That's right, a contest hosted for the benefit of all of those who are tired of seeing those pesky commons. Hate seeing them before? Well, time to turn those frowns upside -down with this contest!

The rules for this contest are quite simple: Find the best of these 6* common weapons that you can! Each area will have a specific target that you can find and submit, however there can only be one grand prize winner! The items that you can submit are as follows:

Gurhacia Valley: Gun Diva
Ozette Wetlands: Nersir
Rioh Snowfield: Tri Magenta
Oblivion City Paru: Kleingold
Makara Ruins: Jasper Roar
Arca Plant: Blue Bulleta
Dark Shrine: Nathaniel

As you can already tell, there WOULD have been difficulties in selecting out of any of the weapons that can be submitted, how would I be able to choose a weapon that would be the best out of two entirely different weapons? Well, not with the point system I intended to apply! Here's how your weapon will be scored on when the time for judging it comes about:

Weapon Affinities = +1₧ each % or point of ACC ADJ
Weapon has an element = +50₧
---Level less than weapon's max element level = ↓10₧ for each level lower
---Weapon has a Level 1 element = -40₧ (due to the act you could have simply added an element and gotten up to 30₧ for no reason)
Photon Art 1 = +50₧
Photon Art 2 = +25₧
Photon Art 3 = +10₧
Weapon is fully grinded and Photon Fortified = ↓15₧

Now, for those wondering what the "Photon Art #" thing means, it means that for certain PA's I will give more points for if they have it than if they do not. These PA's are as follows:

Prizes will be awarded to the three people who submit the weapons with the highest scores! The top three winners will select, in their ranking order, one weapon from this list. The Grand Prize winner, however, will also get a special prize awarded to them, as well as the Second Place winner! Prizes that can be given are as follows:

Hey y'all, just a little note to everyone here who is THINKING about participating (since I have yet to get any real contributions except ONE), but I will be canceling this contest if I do not get at least 3-5 contenders, as it's pointless for only one person who only CONTRIBUTED to win anything without any real competition.

Sorry, contest has been officially canceled. Only had three submissions total, and I couldn't have my contest go with uncompeted winners. Everyone wins, in the sense that everyone has failed. I'm sorry to have wasted the time of those who DID try to submit something, but you can blame everyone else that you all were not able to get anything. <_<

I didn't even get around to finding this until it was cancelled, myself. The problem with setting up stuff, like this, on this forum, is that you need a few weeks leeway before the contest so that people can get around to reading about it.

If I decide to do anything similar to a contest in the future, I'll probably keep a leeway of at least 2 weeks, perhaps, but honestly, I figured 1 week should have been enough, since I kinda figured something like this would happen anyways, people trying to wait until the last minute to submit anything... <_<

Personally I say extend the deadline. Allow an additional week and try to spread the word more. It would be a shame to see it canceled it even if I had no chance of winning. I would still prefer to see someone win.
