    How do you turn off your WLAN yet still connect?

    Port Forwarding would completely prevent connection at all. That's not the issue I'm personally having if you were referring to me. If my ports were the issue, I wouldn't be able to connect at all, let alone get a stable connection SOMETIMES.

    wlan he/she means turn wlan power save off from the psp power menu on the home screen of your psp . also if you have a psp 3000 turn umd cache on

    I have WLAN Power Save off already and I'm using a PSP2000 so there's no UMD Cache setting.

    it must be a 3000 only . why do you still have a 2000 is it hacked

    Because I don't have $150-$200 to throw away because Sony can't make all their fancy changes in one model update, and instead give tiny differences so people will buy a second and third PSP. Unless my current PSP explodes (figuratively....or possibly literally), there's no reason I'm going to throw away money for a new fancy screen.
