New to this game, Got tips

SO started this game last night and havent yet to be able to play in a group. I got kicked for no reason. Anyways the game is easy straight forward but have'nt got to lvl the class dont know how to.
I pick a human/hunter, which class are good to get me into groups. And is there any stages that are worth grinding. Sorry to bother but i need help in this game everything i knew about it went out the window. it would be nice i can transfer my pc/ps2 character but i know its impossible

well right now theres an event going on at the guardians HQ. 5th floor of the colony. thats probly your best bet for xp and whatnot right now.
