The sound effect downgrading isn't that bad. PSP never had good music to start with, so not much of a minus for me. Only tracks I liked were the Keep and the Clad-6 lobby ones.

Seeing as PSP2 has Data Install, most likely Infinity has it too. But as it is the previous game plus half of that in new content, some things had to be done to make it all fit into one UMD. Low quality sounds? Not a big deal.
CGI cutscenes may be reduced in quality as well, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of the VA ends up missing from Episode 1.

"You either die the hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
The horrible sound effect quality is gonna be permanent? Here I was hoping it was done just to keep the demo size down.
Good thing PSP2I completely replaces PSP2 so after a while I'll forget there's a difference. Otherwise swapping between the two would keep it fresh in my mind
ノーマン (Nohman), Lv.125 Male Human, BR 34, 1 Rebirth (PSP2i)
I never even noticed. I don't pay much attention to sound effects though unless its something huge.

I didn't notice the difference too much regarding the music while playing, but I did notice the various sound effects for selecting, targeting, etc all sounded different from PSPo2.
Yay those of us who can't tell the difference much? ^_^'
The one-handed weapons have largely been left unchanged, with some boosts and reductions to PAs.

The official blog was updated tonight. The most important information listed has to do with the time the Trial Licsence will be posted. Like the previous demo, they aren't telling us when exactly it will be available for download but the blog does say that the PSP2 servers will be down from 9 am to 11 am in order to prepare for the demo. I would check the PSN around then.
The pouch that comes with the premium set has also been finished. I guess it only matters if you're willing to shell out the extra cash but it's a pretty neat looking pouch.
I just noticed that I'll be in school when the downloads come out. Yikes...
