best performing party members for solo?

I usually end up solo-ing things because the NPCs annoy the crap out of me, but if I do take them it's usually Vivienne, Magashi and my MySynth (Whatever the dragon one is x.x)

But yes, I await Infinity so I can take my friends with me.

Oh yeah and the Colonel. XD If he's in the US version T_T

I use my somewhat-trusty MS-514. Half the time he's useless (the plight of using any NPC), but when he does decide to be useful he's awesome. I never have to use mates, never have to use Sol Atomizers, and his R-Mag constantly stuns enemies and helps chain.

I also use Magashi, mostly because I like the idea of him knocking things down with his Axe. Unfortunately he almost never uses it.

I can't remember the number of my PM (mysynth) but it ran across the field to cast Shifta on my character and ran back to fight the dragon. Never seen that before.

I usually just go with Lumia, Yut, and Ethan.

I usually go solo, but for AIs I use Lumia, PM464, Magashi.

If you're using the Infinity demo, just make some alts. You can customize them and are probably more worth it.

Anyways, the trick is to know which characters to use under what conditions as well as knowing which ones cover your weaknesses.

Um, I'm reading this as you can use your alt characters partner cards in infinity. Is that the case? If so do they gain exp? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can someone clarify this for me anyway.

Yes, you can use your alts but they don't gain any kind of experience.

I bring along npcs mainly to use as my meat shields, the rare times when they cast resta when I actually need it are nice, but other than that, they aren't usually very helpful. Can't wait until Infinity when I can invite my own chars to the party. If your own characters have traps in their inventory's equipped do they use them? Somehow I'm doubting this, but am curious anyways.

I'm not a fan of Ethan as a character, I'll make that clear, but he is VERY consistent with his usage of reverser, always casts it not long after I get a status effect I find.

i usaly use my 503. then the other 2 are people who are strong in the mission. do solo multiplayer. ai can draw attention.
