Chapter 9 Hard mode

I've been having trouble protecting the bombs in act one (the third room in particular where your comrades ditch you for the moment). I ended up resorting to using myself has a human shield and wasting a scape doll and still failed. I was wondering if I can have some guidance.

Chain 2-5 Blade Destruction/Dus Skad for the Shinowa/Sinows.

Chain 2>Lvl 1 Charge shot with Dualies/Rifles for the shooter bots.

Perfect block your way through the laser gates, since you can save your PP for killing instead of rolling. Also less time consuming.

Burn EX Traps, and normal traps will do good damage to everything as well.

The best way I found to clear 9-1 as a Ranger, was to bring several doublesabers, as well as handguns and a healthy amount of mates.

First off, since your team has ditched you and the enemies main focus is on the bombs themselves, use a doublesaber of the opposing element on them to build up a chain of about 10-15.

Then, if you have the PA, Gravity Dance, it should make short work of your enemies with about two 10 chains.

Try to conserve your PP for dodging the laser fence, and you should be able to finish it without much difficulty.

If what I listed doesn't work, try leveling a bit.
