I don't own a PS3 yet, since most of the titles in it's library which appeal to me are already multi-platform. I'll get one eventually, but for the time being I can't really justify dropping that kind of money just to play Valkyria Chronicles, MGS:4, Demon Soul, and maybe Yakuza.

I did almost get one for free a few weeks ago, as it only needed some minor repair and replacement parts. Unfortunately the guy decided to give it one more try - and also that spending the money to do it right is for chumps. It occurred to him that he ought to consult "Teh InterNutz" for a free "Fuck-it-up-yourself" kludge. He ended up getting convinced it was a good idea to stick "the metal bits" of his system in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Needless to say, even if the chips miraculously survived, his failure to remove the plastic bits sealed the deal.
