PSO2 "HUmar" Cosplay *planned*

I will prefix this with "Move if necessary", as I am new to this site and am not sure where else to put this.

Hi all. Ever since I watched the first game-play trailer of Phantasy Star Online 2 back in April, my creative insanity got the better of me. "Cosplay the 'HUmar'", it said. I couldn't refuse it, because the idea was simply too awesome.

So, once I have money to spare after rig upgrades (etc...) I'm buying a load of Wonderflex, Fosshape, and eventually, paint (color to be determined from color schemes available at character creation) to make the armor.

Of course, I'll keep it unpainted until I actually create my character.

Will also assemble a pair of Photon Daggers, my weapon of choice.

If all goes well, I will have this assembled in time for Castle Point Anime Convention, Anime Boston, Sakura Matsuri of Brooklyn Botanical Gardens... You know, spring 2012.

Like? Dislike? Hints, tips, etc? Call me crazy?

My brother thinks I'm crazy, but he doesn't do armor. I think I'm slightly crazy, but I don't take "normal" as a compliment.

I don't think cosplaying as a fictional character is anything crazy.
There's tons of much more crazy stuff out there :3

Nono, he cosplays fictional characters all the time; he just doesn't like making armor. And especially NOT sci-fi armor.

More on topic, I guess that bodysuit I bought for cosplaying StarForce MegaMan (and never used) will actually come in handy as an undergarment for this armor.

The HUmar armor is actually going to be of more intermediate difficulty. It's mostly fosshape and wonderflex (costuming plastics) rather than fabric, which is good because I can sew but I'm bad at it.
