This time:
Desert field area
Desert social area
Desert male NPC
Cavern bug enemies (3 tiers)
Some quality settings and FPS counter
and a very experimental VR mode, just for funs. Just so I can run around my own worlds
I am not satisfied yet with the desert area. It's to large and empty, though that might work for some combat and gameplay... maybe.. Might want some better backdrop. The social area is coming along nicely though, just needs more doors and NPCs to fill it up.
For enemies I am now planning to make at least 3 tiers for each enemy. Kind off like PSO1 with Booma, Gibooma and Gigobooma and maybe a mini boss tier later on. These bugs each uses different elements to do attacks.
oh yeah, was supposed to post some of the concept art. I can't show you the concept art of the enemies, because I accidentally wiped all data from my iPad and lost all my drawings that were saved on the device. I hadn't yet uploaded them to my dropbox, so I guess those are lost now.
Here are two environment pieces I used for the desert area.
Damn it sucks to lose that work.
That's a cool looking desert. That's one way to make an alien world, put flowering trees in an area with no water. Definitely not something that can happen on earth (except... cacti?), so it's not something people would think to do.
Finally switched computers!
My old iMac (9 years old now!) has had screen problems where I could only put the brightness on 20% so I couldn't see shit on my screen for almost a year. I now just bought a new monitor and switched to my Windows PC as my new workhorse, after some small upgrades.
Had to try out my new monitor with a quick painting. Didn't bother to color.
