    Default JP PSU Lag?

    Hey I just started a JP account. This is a ? for US players. Does it lag alot for you guys? I mean I hit them and theres a good Sec or 2 lag between hits. I wondering if its like that for all US players or just me. I understand there should be some lag. But I have friends that Play on the JP server and they have almost no lag. Ty in advance.

    Yes it all depends on how far away you are from Japan.

    I got like 290~300ms ping, because I live in brazil, hit delay is less or equal 1 sec.. I believe that US players with good connection will get less than 200ms ping...
    For me, the ping on Japanese server is even better than US server...
    Sorry my bad english!

    Awesome. My connection was decent before, and the delay wasn't much of a nuisance, but this seems to have cut my delay by half.

    How does one test ping for the server? Or rather, anyone know the IP address of the JAP server?

    ----

    EDIT: According to Mike, the address to the PSU JAP website is: 202.51.7.36.

    After screwing around with PeerBlock, I found what I believe to be are the IPs used to connect to the game:

    LOGIN;
    202.51.6.30
    202.51.6.31
    202.51.6.32

    GAME;
    202.51.6.1
    202.51.6.2

    Here are my speeds of before and after using the Leatrix Latency fix (Before ms, after ms)
    202.51.7.36 - 164ms, 162ms

    202.51.6.30 -180ms, 180ms
    202.51.6.31 -173ms, 173ms
    202.51.6.32 -179ms, 178ms

    202.51.6.1 -176ms, 170ms
    202.51.6.2 -173ms,173ms

    Unusually, the reported speeds show almost no improvement, though I can definitely tell there is less delay ingame. Megistarides activate almost instantly unlike before. It's worth trying the Leatrix app to see if you gain improvement.

    Also to test your ping, follow these instructions:
    For Windows:

    1. Go to «Start» —> «Run»
    2. Type "cmd"
    3. Press <Enter>
    4. Type in command line "ping -n 4 IPADDRESS" without quotes, where IPADDRESS is an IP address or hostname to ping.

    I have not tried the fix, but I would say it is about a 1/4 to 1/2 sec for me. I managed to adapt to it pretty quickly. I started on the server this weekend.

    Yes, this is correct game IPs, before tsunami, another variant was available (XXX.XXX.XXX.3)
    I always keep pinging both IPs before start game, or reconecting until I got nice results, sometimes IP "1" got a 50ms diference from IP "2" (or more).
    When you log on game, it randomly put you in IP 1 or 2.
    I've latrix version 1.2 installed (and regeditor "tcpnodelay" thing, not sure if these two steps are good when activated togheter) and you pointed a interesting fact that I dont noticed until you wrote this (perhaps the change dont appear on ping screen but its notable)... Before latrix, with a ping of 400, game was impossible to play, even with 360ms things are veeeeery slow, but now, with 400ms I feels as game was with 300ms and hit delay stay LESS THAN ONE SECOND...

    I posted things about ping in this topic:
