Strafing.
Twin Handguns are preferred as they hit twice per shot and can get chains up pretty high. Wands or rods doesn't matter it's a matter of preference in the end really since casting makes you immobile.

No with wand you can strafe and cast, not immobile :P (might be different in Vanilla)
You can also have 4 quick-cast if you use it correctly instead of 3.
As for twin handguns, i agree they are pretty good.
They also inflict SE faster.
And you can block/perfect block with T.Handguns.

t.handguns
and regular melee weapon
ok played a few online matches:
1. with a wand i can't heal others, is that normal?
2. for enemies 30+lvls above me:
2.1 i can't cast them with jellen/zalure? or is that just a lag?
2.2 i can hardly hit them with anything i have. is my acc to low? i only got "0"s over and over again.
3. for missions 30+lvls with higher lvlers: my exp bar hardly moves. is there an exp-conversion for low lvlers?
1. Is your Resta at level 11 or higher?
2. It's part of the game you need a higher leveled Jellen and Zalure.
3. Beasts have the lowest ACC in the game followed by humans.
1. Your resta needs to be level 11+, if you have that and your talking about npc allies they have about 6x as much health as you do so it may seem to not be healing them when it actually is.
2. In vanilla it was quite hard to affect them at times, even as a human force with level 27 j/d it was hit/miss quite often. If acc is a issue, try attacking enemies from the rear as their evade won't be able to help them then. (iirc they have 50 stamina which was used to resist those debuffs after a certain level).
3. Your getting a xp penalty in vanilla for enemies > 30 level then you.

Grinding Magashi Plan in Infinity...
Unfortunately, twin handguns only counts 1 chain per button press in online mode. In story mode, it's the best range weapon. It would have been perfect if there's a handgun with incap.
