Default Crash in multi-party areas (MPA)

I seem to be getting this reoccurring crash that seems to be related to Multi-party areas, and i just wanted to know if i was the only one.

this crash seems to occur just after or before a mission is started, in many instances I can hear the NPC speak over the communicator just before the crash occurs. I believe this is related to the random missions that will appear up at random during Quest wtihin Multi-party areas.

P.S. this crash may also occur when NPC's speak, yeah the ones noobs bring along as monster bait. Their constant babbling causes me to crash, not sure why, so BE COURTEOUS, and bring a real friend along.

    UPDATE:

Thanks Chives (I MEAN RYOKO) that solution worked, but you wouldn't happen to know what I should do with an Laptop running on Windows 7, with Intel HD graphics and 3GB RAM, also using the lowest graphical settings. the tricky part is this laptop is running on a custom built driver. intel states that using a generic driver will not work. i suppose my only option is going to the manufacturers webpage. and looking for an update there

I have the same deal. Might be a good idea to post your setup, to see if everyone who has this problem is running on similar specs. I'm using windows 7 64-bit with intel HD graphics 4gb ram off my laptop, using the lowest settings possible.

I also have Intel HD integrated graphics, and had the crashing in multi-party areas. In this thread I mentioned how I was able to get the proper video drivers installed and my computer to stop crashing.

Oh man you just put an end to three days of frustration for me. This totally fixed the problem. I was almost about to give up entirely. Thanks dude.

yes this happened to me as well. Anytime a chat bubble appeared, i'd crash. In fullscreen i wouldn't crash but it would lag terribly until it disapperared.

    Updating drivers eliminated the issue.

I don't think I even have any driver upgrades available. What then? I seriously doubt I can buy another whole computer.

That's the key right there, I didn't think I needed to update either as Dell and their wonderful software was telling me I was fully updated. It wasn't until I went to the Intel website and searched for Intel HD drivers (Found Here) that I realized the drivers on my comp we not just old, but ANCIENT. You have to uninstall your OEM graphics driver first before installing the Intel driver though. Least, that's what I had to do

Glad this helped get some of you up and running!! ^_^v

Thing is, Intel says that switching to one of their generic drivers as opposed to my PC's custom driver could cause problems for my system, and I don't want to risk the safety of my laptop.

I also got that warning/incompatibility notice from their website. I think their auto detect software is seeing the OEM driver installed. After I DL'd the up-to-date Intel driver though, and uninstalled the OEM driver, I didn't receive any warnings or issues during the new install.

I do understand where you are coming from though, just wanted to let you know how I got mine working

Thank you for reassuring me. Now I don't seem to have this problem anymore.
