Very high probability, but nothing's been made official yet. The inner physics nerd in me is squeeing right now
Basically, we have always assumed the existence of a heavy particle that gives matter a mass and pretty much holds the universe together. Many theoretical physics theorums are built around that assumption. Confirming the existence of this particle (the Higgs Boson) is essentially why the Large Hadron Collider was built, so this is huge news for the world. This could rewrite many of our understandings of real-world physics and lets us delve deeper into theoretical physics, in hopes of understanding our universe more. Awesome stuff.
