Can rangers use techniques?

Hey, so I've "loaded" quite a few techniques onto my ranger (the first male ranger choice, if it makes a difference), the main one of concern being Resta, and for some reason I can't use it! I can't put it into my weapon shift switch, or into the main action bar. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I was able to use the disks no problem, but for some reason I can't use the actual spell. Thanks so much!

only forces can use techniques

Rangers can't use techs, only forces can. Shame, I know, but that's the way it is. Hopefully some new hybrid classes will come out with the ability to do so.

On a plus note, you can easily change your class to Force if you do want to do some casting. Although you'll probably want to find a new Mag, which as far as I know, can only be gained with cash.

What a dumb thing! Don't see why you can load techniques if you can't use them.. Need to fix that..

You can switch to a force and use them if you like.
