iOS port doesn't sound that bad in terms of changes and improvement...

    -HD re-drawn graphics
-I assume the music played on the field or whatever is the full HD sound tracks now (or at least I'd hope that)
-You can get people's tweets when you read random NPC's minds now? (what?)
    - Chaters both fight on one screen now (not sure if that's good or bad)

and I THINK it's available to buy and play, today, now.

Sounds kind of cool but yeah... it's still just an iOS port.

According to videos that have been captured... Yeah, they more or less completely gutted the combat system.

Your partner has been reduced to the functionality of a pin. Not only that, but at least Shiki is apparently a tap psych, and since there aren't L or R buttons, or any shift key analogues... Good luck trying to get any other myriad tap psychs to work reliably. I don't know if I want to see how badly they fucked up the battle with Konishi.

All things considered, yeah, it looks like this port is only going to damage the game's reputation. Worst case scenario, it gets panned so hard and sells so little that any potential for a sequel or spiritual successor goes down the drain. I don't have enough rage to properly express how I feel about this.

Bleh after looking it up the HD'd graphics only make it look like a flash game...

    Well this is awkward.

Oh, it's also not a universal app, so if you want to play it on both your iPhone and your iPad you have to buy it twice.

Also, Final Fantasy XIV is totally a thing that already exists that you can play right now.

I was talking about Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn silly :>
Patch 2.0 is suppose to be fixing many of the issues people had with the game.

Also if it makes you feel better rock, Solo Remix is getting scores in the 90's.

Well, to be fair, it's not like a FFXIII-3 would necessarily be a bad thing.

Mostly because FFXIII-2 proved that they learned their lessons in regards to pacing and encounter design from the first game. It was actually a really good game and a good experience.

If they made FFXIII-3 and it was at least on par with FFXIII-2 in quality, I'd gladly buy it. Best case scenario, they improve on it as much as 2 did on the original, and it turns out to be just plain amazing.
