The whole point was to decrease the money supply by adjusting the faucet-to-sink ratio. If they slashed prices for everything by the same amount they slashed vendor prices, it would have been pointless. COMPLETELY pointless, in fact. I don't get why some folks are unable to grasp this. It's kind of pathetic, really. It's not that hard!
