Er....I'm getting Black Ops 2 and DOA5 as well...Battle: Los Angeles....that movie should be cool, since I like military stuff and Sci-fi.....

Oh, and I always get surprise gifts from my mom, so I'm looking forward to that this year. She's always been good at picking out stuff that I like that I don't really ask for.

I have an old wooden rocking chair that I like sitting in while I read XD It is super relaxing and staves off the restlessness I usually get when sitting still for too long, so I think your excitement is totally reasonable because rocking chairs are amazing. (I am even younger than yourself, too.)

Don't know. Don't really care much either. That's not the important part of the holiday. The important stuff is the family getting together and having a good time. I plan on cooking a ham like always, and since I get to experiment at Xmas, I'm thinking of making an apple & white wine baste this time around, but that might be a bit too dry for people's tastes. I might just rub the shit out of it with brown sugar and citrus - and then make up two different glazes for people to drizzle over their portions. One being the apple & white wine, and the other being the traditional honey, orange, pineapple, etc. to soak the fruit chunks in so they get nice and candied.

As for it being my favorite holiday... not even close. That's probably Halloween or Memorial day. I don't really like the pomp, expectations, and commercialism found in most major holidays - especially Xmas. Besides, there's something to be said of having a nationally recognized day where you can just sit back with your friends and relax with a few beers, have a little BBQ, and gratefully decorate some fucking graves of those who gave their everything for our society.

I get to spend Christmas alone again this year, as I have the past few years. It's not really a big deal, I guess. My mom will have a bunch of cookies and baked goods made up by then. My dad will probably get me a cool shirt and some other little things and mail them over here, like he does every year.
