Error 12002
This pops up halfway through my first time downloading the patches im guessing. it goes through the "Checking" part fine and does about 9000+ items. Then it goes to the "Downloading" part and stalls out. This is the exact message.
"Failed to download the latest version. From, wait for a while, please try to connect again. WinHTTP Error:12002 [No.103]"
Sounds weird but its normal trust me on this as for the downloading of patches just keep restarting the download process and the total download amount will decrease over time its stressful and annoying you wlil all be worth

Yup, just keep restarting, you'll get there eventually.
i hope so, i've been restarting the download forever, it made it to about 400-500 out of 3800+ last night, but it has yet to get back up to that amount.

so about how long am i looking at it to be complete?
It depends on your download speed and how stable connection to patch server is. Im for sure gonna make a copy of my pso2 folder when download is complete and if you at 3800ish yer just about almost done not sure how much longer for you but for me it would be like 4-5 days to get 3000 bytes of data. But for you're on the final stretch.
