I guess the stupidest thing I have ever done was try to bungie jump from a tree with regular rope, and the rope was too long, and I busted open my face...

same situation, just a tree instead of a car... though thanks to that, I have a steel rod in my leg and can have fun around high powered magnets (still untested)

I bought the ATI all-in-wonder 7500 instead of just getting the PCI TV card. I also wasted $50 getting more PC133 ram into my system (swapping out smaller card with larger card).

I went off a bike jump without looking to see what was on the other side... The front wheel went in the large ditch that was there, and I plowed several yards of earth with my noggin.

That didn't stop me from continuing to do stuff like that, but I do try to remember to look before I leap now.
