What we really need are the return of slicers, twin swords, and shotguns.

Indeed, especaly the Shotguns as a universal RA, GU weapon.

Why in the world would you make shotgun universal?

Either it's got flashy moves like TMG and it thus becomes exclusive to Gunner or it gets utilitarian moves like the launcher and AR and it gets stuck with ranger, but there's no way in hell it'd be shared between both.

Plus there's still the laser cannon which would probably be an exclusive ranger weapon anyways...

I doubt they're adding any new weapons to existing classes, so this is pretty much moot to begin with.
