Phantasy Star Fashion Contest 2013

Good afternoon gentlemen.

This is an entirely new fashion contest. It will have different rules and guidelines. Please feel free to participate!

The most fashionable character will be chosen by a panel of real world fashion experts from over a dozen different countries on a bimonthly basis to win:


1000 AC!

We will choose two winners per month!


The winner will be chosen using a complex 30 point system which involves general aesthetics, creativity, uniqueness, color coordination, styling, etc.


Information and Guidelines


• The graphic quality (in-game settings, Photoshop effects, etc.) of your screenshot will be ignored. We believe this is more fair to everyone.

• Any poses or cutesy angles will be ignored. We do not care. In fact, if your pose obstructs the outfit, accessories, styling, etc. you may be deducted points. Idle animations are recommended.

• The background (in-game setting, etc.) of your screenshot will be ignored. We do not care.

• We will not be judging based on sex appeal. Characters who use revealing outfits such as the bikini, towel, etc. will probably not win, unless their use of accessories and styling is superb.

• The release date, rarity, in-game price, etc. of your outfit and styling will not be considered.

• There will be no preference given to female or male characters. It is very unlikely that we will have one gender winning 99% of the time.

• There will be no preference given to "moe", "cute", or "childlike" characters.

• Your screenshot should include a full, clear view of your character. The judge just needs to be able to see what they're judging.

The first cycle of our contest will conclude on Tuesday, April 16.

We decided to create this contest to reward the most creative members here on PSOW! We wanted to create a character contest which had a fairer set of rules. We also want to choose winners in a less biased manner, and examine the entries in more detail. We think the old contest usually chose winners randomly, based on Photoshop effects, or based on friendship bias. Thank you for asking. This will just be a little different than the other contest!

Also, we wanted to create a contest which was specifically focused on the character customization, instead of poses, screenshot quality, etc. This contest should also be more fair to PlayStation Vita players and people using old computers.
