Well I would assume you don't *have* to use photoshop. Photoshop is beginning to be a term for image editing in general. Any image editor of your choice would do. A free alternative is GIMP.

Correct, the Photoshop there is as "photo editing theme".
you can use any program to edit, you can even use "paint" Just that the "paint" is bad in generally and most people would use other better program as they practice their skill.

Other than GIMP, there is also SAI, I think a lot of artist use SAI to work. There is free version of that for starter too.

Can it still be drawn using photoshop?
Or I guess another way to ask it is:
Is section 1 just screenshot-editing and section 2 (digital) composition?

Sure you can. There is no any limitation in which program to use.

Some users here are very profiecient with JUST taking dyanmic screenshots. If they choose not to photoshop their entries would that still be allowed?

I think they will be at huge disadvantage thought due to the event theme of part-I is "your character story" which is probably hard to find one screen shot that explain the story in one go. But if they don't mind the disadvantage then sure. why not. I used to see some pure dynamic screen shot taken that look even better than edited picture too.

It was a hard decision this time, because there was 3 years gap between this year and the previous year. Normally we could make a roughly calculation about how many submission will we receive, but this time. the number is unpredictable.

All I can say is that if there are a lot of works that submit to us, then we will use poll as previous years to help on the decisive of decision. However, if there aren't so many submit, then we plan to just decided this by score only. Either way, all the pictures will be scored by judges and sponsor team first.

Can people work together to submit one image? Like for example A takes a screenshot and B photoshops it. B submits image as his/her own.
