As for the question, just buy them from player shop, and if affordable, always look for 9* ranged weapon, because they give the highest growth rate to the mag, thus saving time in leveling it.

You can visit the photon drop and excube shops to switch mag actions, mag triggers, and photon blasts

For crafting units, how do you do the "special" extensions at levels 3, 8, and 10?
I have a piece of armor extended to Lv. 3, but I don't see the option to do the special extension (I want that +10 pp lol)

^1st you need yourself to reach Lv20 Crafting. Then Lv3 Special Crafts get unlocked automatically.

Or you can just order craft from somebody else (usually easier and cheaper this way)
