PSO2 Alert - It's aliiiiiiive!

Hmm, after I reinstalled Windows yesterday, PSO2 Alert keeps crashing on startup. Here is the error I get from Windows:

I thought it might not be working with Japanese Locale, but when I switched back to English Locale it still crashed.

I redownloaded it, but it still crashed.

Yeah, That happened to me too. It's Mining Base at ship 8 on yesterday (29/01/2014) at 23:00 GMT+7. here's my clock setting, internet time is on syncing at time.windows.com

I had incorrect EQ announcements several times over the past couple of days. I'll be playing, and it'll suddenly pop up telling me an EQ is about to start, when there's no such thing happening... The ship is set correctly.

I really would love to try this out, but I can't since you must have Windows 8.1 to be able to use it, and I REFUSE to upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1
Reason: Why try to fix something that's already working 100%?
I don't tend to trust M$ big updates, had really bad experiences in the WinXP era with the SP's...

Upgrading to 8.1 pretty much doubled my boot time with no real benefit. Adding in the button was kind of useless since I had shortcuts to the point where I could hit win and type for the app/shortcut I need faster than click button + search + click. Oh, and they reverted search to Windows 7 search (settings + files + apps/shortcuts on default) which fucks with my whole paradigm of searching since it prioritizes alphabetically.

Feels pretty fucking bad. At least Windows 8 has the ability to refresh the OS back to original settings without affecting files (and I might just try that sometime this week or weekend).
