I think it's more to do with not recognizing the URL, considering it fails to work with any additional text after the video ID. It stands to reason it will also fail to work with additional text before the url, or you know in the middle of it.
Hence, my first post? I mean, we can keep talking about how that script doesn't recognize extra characters that it can not recognize, but, come on, the forum isn't THAT slow yet.
