Spam extend level 1 until you get the class you want/all-class. Ask your friends for their crafting level and get them to craft it for you for better chances.

Your multiclass rate is determined by your craft level. You can raise your craft level by unlocking achievements. Just go through a bunch of really simple extend achievements to get a higher level.

    Then get lucky.

So I should extend other weapons of the same type or of a different type. Also it's extend 5 cause I thought that was the only way to get multiclass

For more achievements, just do what achievements tell you to do. There are achievements for extending melee weapons, ranged weapons, any weapons, weapons of various rarity and weapons with specific extend level (that level being high and requiring a somewhat expensive component, naturally). There are also achievements for extending units, which count towards your overall craft level as well.

Wow, okay, that will get expensive fast.

    You have two options:
    1. start over and keep it at ExLv1
    2. Buy a multiclass item and force a specific multiclass (hunter, ranger, force, and braver are your options right now - I think you can only do one at a time, but I'm not 100% sure on that)

And in the future, ask before acting if you don't actually know.

Well you lose the multiclass aspect if you extend again, so if you wanted a lv5 extended multiclass weapon you'd have to try that step repeatedly. No sense rerolling lv1 for multiclass if you plan on continuing.

Well I decided to buy a add braver pass and as rng would have it, it gained force and tether in the process but I mostly wanted it for gunner
