The fans aren't feeling disrespected. Pretty much anyone who wants to play already plays the JP version.
I know a good half dozen people who have tried, but find it to be too high maintenance. Another half dozen or more haven't tried, but would play on an EN server.
They want to push butan, play game. No patches, no extra downloads, no nothing else.
Whether or not they're stupid or stubborn or anything else doesn't matter; the fact remains that they would play and pay, but aren't.
Just because many of us are playing the JP version doesn't mean we don't feel disrespected. We are almost treated as second class players and, according to the ToS can be banned at any moment. Meanwhile Sega wont even answer basic questions to address their western fans.
The fans are beyond disrespected, and so are their own employees, as layoffs continue in SoA.
They probably have a handful of fat freeloading scumbags on their board at SoJ that reel in whatever cash will fill them up and screw everybody else, only with a gaming company that will only work for so long....an upcoming generation of gamers won't know what Sega used to be and just know they're garbage instead.
Oh god why would they do this with the whole PSO2 thing on their heads?

They only did it because "Sonic" doesn't rhyme with "flappy."
