I'm just curious, as those characters are the default templates and they've been shown in all of the cinematics thus far. Would kind of be nice to have "official" names to assign to them

Yup, tons of PSO1 NPC names are used for character names in the trailers. Lionel for instance, the HUcast you put back together in one quest, is the FOcast.

It became "pen pals" with the handgun-toting FOnewearl Elly (reprsented in PSO2 by the default RAnewearl), and is brought to Pioneer 2 for study, eventually running the VR fields in the Pioneer 2 Lab. During the VR training portion of the quest Seat of the Heart, Calus manifests itself on the VR Field as the default FOmar.
