error 249?

hi
so ive been playing this game foe a while now up until this situation with the ddos attacks.
i thought i just wait until its back online but after i read and saw a few strange things like pso2 vids beeing uploaded every day or here in the forums people saying that they can play, i assumed that it already is back online. sadly i had to note that they are not and i still get the error 249. after i found out that error 249 could also mean that the country you are from is not supported in service, i started to think about using a vpn to join over a japan proxy server. on the other hand i dont know if they are really offline or not so i would like to know exactly whats the situation at the moment or even better how to fix that

The servers are online, your ISP's backbone just can't find a route to them.

Nothing we can do. Unless you count calling and bugging them. *Shrugs*

I'd just wait; I assume things will slowly sort themselves out.
