Question about Hunter/Fighter Skill Tree

A while back I said I was planning on only using the Ranger/Gunner class, but i'm getting sick of those classes honestly. I don't like how I barely do any damage with normal hits, while anytime I'm playing an EQ with other players, I see them doing tons of damage with normal hits, especially their PA doing over like 5000 or close to that. I'm only a lvl 44 with my Ranger and im still raising my mag but I wanna give the Hunter/Fighter class a try and see which I wanna stick with. What are the most important skill trees I need to make my Hunter/Fighter classes really good? Thanks ^_^

There isn't really much point of delving into the Hunter/Fighter skill trees yet considering Episode 3 is right around the corner.

I'd say wait until guides for builds with the Episode 3 skill tree layout are released.

Well the real question is if there's some Hunter/Fighter weapons you appreciate or are you just looking for more damage?

Because RA and GU are very capable of putting out damage currently with a Hunter fury sub.

Thats insane, but how is it possible to do THAT much damage? Thats what im not getting. When I use my rifle and aim for the main weak points on a monster, I do like 100's or so. When I use a PA, I do like in the 1000's and thats it. With Weak Bullet, I do more than that but im mainly focused on normal attacks.
