    Post Windows 10!

If you happen to have noticed a Windows Icon in your Notification Area, you can reserve your upgrade to Windows 10! You will be given the option to upgrade once it releases on July 29, 2015. So, are you gonna upgrade or are you gonna wait a little bit? Oh, and this only applies to users who have Windows 7 and 8.1, as well as Windows Phone 8.1.

I'm going to do the upgrade almost immediately on my Windows 8.1 laptop, and use it as a test bed to determine when I might do so with my Windows 7 desktop.

    "Notification Area?"

Either way, ain't upgrading for a while. I'm almost certain it'll have bugs and fuck-ups, perhaps even fatal ones. Other people can be the guinea pigs.

Already reserved my upgrade. Most of my essential data is on cloud storage so no worries there. I still have a few things to back-up though, but not much. I have faith it'll follow the traditional Windows Pattern:

    Windows XP: Good
    Windows Vista: Bad
    Windows 7: Good
    Windows 8: Bad
    Windows 10: Probs good

EDIT: A pre-release of Windows 10 was available for those who signed up, so it's already being tested by folks. I hope they use data from that to work out some bugs before launch.

I like Windows 8 it is a good OS when it comes to performance and has a bunch of features I like. But I'll probably upgrade my main pc when win 10 is released seems like it is the best of win8 and win7.

You know the bottom right corner where the volume thingy is. The Windows10 icon will appear down there if you got the notification. (Its also where it reminds you of Automatic updates or whatever)

I'm going to skip the early reservation stuff but I'll consider upgrading. I have no major issues with Windows 7 on my desktop so... whatever, y'know?

Then again, maybe Anduril has the right idea: I can always try to upgrade on my crappy old netbook and see how it works and then maybe update my desktop as well. (I should probably double-check to see if my netbook passes the minimum requirements first, though.)

Minimum requirements is the same thing that win 7 and 8 had, only thing about upgrading is drivers for your devices mostly on a newer OS.

Oh, cool. Okay then, yeah, I'm probably going to reserve Windows 10 on my netbook.

I "reserved" a copy for my computer. I'm excited for OneGet.

I've heard good things from people doing the Preview/testing. I haven't had any major issues beyond the first 20 minutes of installing Win 8.1 on this computer (up from 7, did that back in February) and it sounds like 10 will combine the best of 7 and 8.1.
