episode 3 oops

I may have accidentally started episode 3. I'm confused and need to go back to Episode 1. :|

Seriously I'm at the very beginning of episode 1 and have no clue what I'm doing. I've just been trying to unlock the next story quest by completing matter boards.
The only thing I've done is most of the first 2 matter boards. Accidentally started the 3rd.
And I've done the Long - Awaited Tomorrow quest at the quest counter.
That's it :/

Just pick one of the Ep.1 matterboards (1-x), it will switch you back. Also, this is not a topic worth a full discussion, so it would be best to ask in the Quick Questions Thread next time.

While I've got this thread here already, could you tell me what you mean by "pick one of the ep 1 matterboards" ?
I mean, I see that I have 3 currently, and I can choose one of the items on the matterboard. Is that what you mean? This will somehow continue the story that, as of yet I've been lost on even trying to figure out how to do? (I got 1 quest and it seems there's nothing else)

Open EP1 matterboard, and just pick the nodes, it'll giving you a prompt pick yes and you will activate EP1 story progress.

I see. I'm probably misunderstanding, but if not then ep1 is incredibly short if there's only 1 story quest to select in ep 1

EP1 are actually the longest and the most boring episode, you'll unlock more chapter as you play the matterboard and clearing the story quest.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. I'm just a bit confused on how the story missions work. I though after I did a few of the matter board things, or all the story ones, I'd unlock the next story quest. Matter board 3 seems to be related to Episode 3, so I guess I shouldn't do that one.

You have to do most story missions more than once to progress. If I recall, Ep.1 Ch.1 has three routes you have to take which are unlocked by completing matterboard nodes.

Have you played that unlocked story quest?

After you complete it, you can go to the shop area where Xion is and she'll hand you the next matter board.

On that note, you can tell if there's more than one path to follow if the quest completion crown thingy (you'll see it next to the quest name if you go into the story quest list) is only half-full - the mission isn't considered 'complete' until it's a full crown.
