Guarding with Regular T.Dagger attacks

I don't know if anyone noticed but in the middle of attacking an enemy who launched an attack at me, I parried it with a regular attack (not the shift or R2 for my controller) i just attacked and i saw the blue giant circle that occurs when you block something.

So looks like theres two ways to avoid damage with twin daggers.
