    Default Adding abilities question

    I Have been working on my Katana Weapon



    Its 50% Ice, 9^ I would love 10^s but I'm trying to find out how lol.. without going down a grind anyway quick question is when i go to adding abilities it doesn't have any slots but extra which is like a 1% chance of adding anything to weapon..

    Can i add slots?

    Is my weapon trash now?

    Whats the best outcome?

    you should instead buy a kalicizma ( カリシズマ ) with some good affixes and grind it to unlock potential and then grind again and keep extending as long as you met the stat requirements
    wouldn't bother with anything better till you at least get to level 70
    edit: actually forgot just how high dex requirements go up for katanas, you likely won't be able to equip the levels where they at least mediocre unless you are building a dex mag which you shouldn't so just affix it - to make a 3 slot affix you first need to 1 slot affix it, then 2 slot affix if you succeed and then 3 slot etc., you can use fodders with more slots than the base item you want to affix

    For Katana I'd just start with a Ken'ei since Maggy rains them along with the Excubes to get Risk Reduction -1s for grinding, but Kalicizma is OK too if you can equip it at Ex9 with 10% reduction.

    Having 0 affixes on a weapon doesn't mean anything, you can always add one more affix than a weapon already has - which reduces successful transfer chance, unless the weapon has 0 affixes in which case the transfer rate is the same as if it had one.

    But as others said, better grab a ken'ei from Magatsu or something.

    NEVER waste excubes on grind risk reduction -1.
    You can buy these in the shop for 1050.
    Rather use cubes to get +30% grind successes cause you need them a lot.

    Either way, you can upslot everything. The higher you upslot, the more reduction you get.
    0>1 is 5%, 1>2 is 10% and 2>3 is 15%

    I dunno what ship you play on, but on Ship 2 they hover between 5-8k. Still not prohibitively expensive but certainly not 1050.

    That said, I think Selphia was talking about turning the cubes into fun for the fun scratch, which also has the benefit of giving you a chance at shop tickets. I agree that grind success 30%s would be better for strictly grinding though.

    Ya I was trying to say my katana only Has extra slot on weapon and does not have any other slots but I went ahead brought something else with had 50+ more damage so I'm ok with it until I can get 10* + weapons..

    WTF... 9* katana 1200 Satk at +9 with no ability... last time i played this game my +10 11* katana 4 ability was like, 900 Satk lol

    you're looking at his character's stats, not the weapon's stats. the weapon has an s-atk of 670.
