Default Why is every Anime-ish styled MMORPG gender skewed

    This is true.

Every MMORPG that has any hint of anime-ish style to it has a huge gender population skew leaning towards females.

The reason for this is due to a certain disease.

Most of the time it's contracted in locations where it's typically dark and has very small/vew few/no windows.

You are more likely to contract this illness if you, over a long period of time, stay in front of an electronic screen with buttons that reads: "qwerty".

some symptoms are: extreme attachment to a pillow, sensitivity to light, low tolerance to fresh air, and heavy sexual desire for cartoons with cat eyed females.

Male customization options tend to be sparse and what few there are tend to be shit. This leads to more people playing female characters, which in turn causes the developers to add more and more customization options for females, causing more people to play females, etc.

    A never-ending cycle of shit.

It's either real or it's a dream. There's nothing that is in between.

PSO2 has very good male character customization.

The one thing i like about anime mmos is that they understand the asian male beauty standard.

Us asian males tend to prefer slender more elegant styles. (Some call it effeminate or androgynous)

Most American mmos tend to make males very ugly, overly muscular, and too burly/macho for asian tastes.

This is the sole thing that anime MMORPGs get right. However it's true most don't spend effort on male character creation. PSO2 is an exception due to the system it's built on.

I was referring to the clothing and accessory options available for male characters. Creation is creation, how you dress them up is customization. PSO2 is very weak in this regard. Or was. It's been a while since I bothered to log on.

Regardless, we're talking about a problem with an entire genre, not individual games. NEETs flooding servers with their perfect waifu is actually a small piece of the puzzle.

Because most players are male and like looking at cute girls.

I don't understand. Is it because you think big, muscular Asian guys look weird? Do you prefer a Bruce Lee physique?
