Default Article: JP Gamecube Server Shutdown

The Japanese Gamecube Phantasy Star Online servers were shutdown earlier today. Shortly before they went down, over 4000 people were playing on the Japanese servers. The EU servers are still reported to be up, but it is unknown how long they will remain online. It is unfortunate that the US servers were mysteriously shutdown earlier in the month. Only Japanese and European players were able to fully enjoy the last month. If you would like to share your thoughts, you can post in our Phantasy Star Online forum. It certainly has been a memorable run.

Actually, the US servers never really went down. US players were just unable to access them.

There was a fairly big group of people in deneb 5 before that final JP shutdown. @_@; Most populated US ship at the time.
