Article: Content Update for March 12

As announced on the official English PSU homepage, there will be a content update for this week which applies to both Xbox 360 and PC/PS2 servers:

• The following missions will be available after the event with various modifications:
  
  • Maximum Attack G' (S/S2 difficulties to be added, new mission rewards)
    
  • Program DF' (S/S2 difficulties to be added, new mission rewards)
    
  • Gifts from Beyond+ (some price changes and the removal of other event currency)
• <strike>Medals will be distributed to players who place from 1 through 100 in the Time Attack Rankings for MAG+.</strike>
• Casino Voloyal item rotation.

These items apply only to the Xbox 360 servers:

• White Day lobbies will be posted alongside Jaggo Amure and WD Box. These will last from March 12 until April 1.
• A previously unimplemented Photon Art boost will be available from March 12 until April 22.

These bonuses apply only to the PC/PS2 servers until they are closed on March 31:

• Three Star Luck for all players
• +20% synth rate boost
• +15% grinding boost
• 10 Silver Voloyal Coins per day
• Free Lumilass
• 50% discount on clothing and cast parts
• A previously unimplemented Photon Art boost.

This will most likely be the final set of updates for the PC/PS2 servers until their closure. The planned time for the shutdown is midnight Pacific Time on March 31.

Update: The medals for the Time Attack participants were not handed out in this update. They will be handed out soon. Read here for more information.

why not just close the 360 as well i was on there the other day and theres like what 200 or less ppl that still play point that its still runing who no why once monster hunter hits the 360 psu is gnna die thou id say its allready the undead

one more thing see the other games that this site has adds for id go for them i myself play fiesta wich is 100 times more then pspoo psu port 2 thats a game port that to the 360 and the game may just have a shot

I hope the xbox servers stay online for a long time because PSU is still a great game online and it would be really stupid if they close the Xbox server too.
But I think the PS2/PC players deserve better bonuses like 100% synth rate, 10Mio meseta for everyone, ect.

Monjster hunter 3 is just a wow rip off and looks boreing and no one is gonna quit PSU to pay 17.99 a monthe to play a game made by Capcom very bad gamming company its nothing new looks like wow and plays like it I bet . wow sucks and so will Monster hunter 3

means you wont be able to trade weapons badges for zonspheres or megisheres anymore in the gifts from beyond counter.
closing the 360 side would be daft as then nobody gets to see what is in store for psu still, theres loads of things i`ve been collecting over the last 3 years i`d like to see a use for

Monster Hunter 3 for the Wii, for US and EU servers, will have no monthly fees. Unlike the Japanese servers.
I don't see how Monster Hunter is the same as WoW. What you mean by that? And I also don't see how Capcom is a bad gaming comp. when they are selling well with other games out there.

I think sega doesn't plan to close them down until the next generation PSU game goes up, and if my suspicions are right I think they are planning a whole new retail disc that will double as an expansion like the Ps2 AotI disc to get the game back on the market and bring new players in since a significant decline in activity is due to potential new players being unaware the game exists and even if they did, finding a copy to start it up. Of course there's more to it than just that, but I'm not typing much more on my iPod keypad. Monster hunter is closer to pso than WoW, and it has been gaining quite the fanbase, but it's nothing that will kill psu, both games have their strongpoints and Id sooner believe MH's similarities to pso will act as a means to advertise PSU and give it more interest.
