Article: PSO2 JP October 10th Update Brings Subclass System, Increased Level Cap and More!

SEGA has released details for Phantasy Star Online 2 (JP)'s October 10th content update and it looks to be a big one! Topping the list of additions is the new subclass sytem, which will allow players to create powerful class combinations that utilize the skillsets of two classes for maximum damage or utility. This will be a great new feature for players looking to customize their characters to create a self-buffing Hunter-Techer, or perhaps a pure ranged Gunner-Ranger. The variety of combinations should be a lot of fun!

The level cap will also be increased from 40 to 50 and Very Hard difficulty quests will be added to supplement the raised cap. Inside of these new quests, players will have a chance to encounter rare monsters (differentiated by their color) that may drop exclusive items.

A new interrupt event is also being added, featuring a strange creature known as Mr. Umbra. Make him happy and you'll be in for a special reward, but make him angry and you will regret it!

If all that isn't enough to get you excited, then you'll be happy to know that they are also adding new weapons, photon arts, and technics. Among these, are the long-awaited 10-star rare items and brand new "all-class" weapons.

Argh, not excited about the "Spinning death" it looks like PA from ps0 ds.
