I think what WuBing is trying to say is:

- There is a new private server than does not require AR cart, modified ROMs or any of that shenanigans, and will work with just a normal PSZ cart
- To access it you need to delete your WFC data (under 'options' in the wifi menu) and then in the connection options, select manual DNS and enter the addresses in his post as DNS address 1 & 2.
- The stats page he linked will tell you who is playing what and when
- Since the new server over 100 active players have signed up and are playing regularly

I have started playing again and did a few runs with WuBing last night. I implore anyone with even a passing interest to try playing again as the community is (re)growing fast.

oh man. i almost entirely missed my chance to play this game online. i thought i'd have to have mods done with my 3ds or i'd have to get an og ds to play online at any point, and now this thread comes up..


despite everything, 2018 has been alright. i'm not the best in the world at the game but i'll definitely try to get into it now that this exists. the setup was super easy and it seemed to be working fine, but i sadly don't have time to check for myself since its time to go to sleep

Definitely. Make sure your router's security is set to WEP or open, and have the following ip addresses insert into both your Primary and Secondary DNS:

164.132.44.106
8.8.8.8

yep! i set it up on mine. your wifi connection needs to be set to WEP (as WuBing said) but afterwards if you clear your wifi settings in-game on psz you can set it up perfectly fine.
