It's essentially starter gear, it really doesn't matter if you're full Cras gear or not. However, if there is a weapon series you like, you may want to check for the camo in shop since weapon camo's are the go to for the time being when NGS is released.

None of your stuff is cross-region, Sega seemingly for w/e reason isn't doing cross servers still (considering theres a version for Xbox/Ps, I'd assume Sony cross server issues) so you're out of luck on this. The translation team is still going to be working on the English patch for JP servers so it's not like you'll be SoL on an eng patch, likely follow the trend of eng patch updates like PSO2 was unless the team got super better about the patches idk but it's very easy to just rip stuff from the Global version as well for references

End of the day, you're playing NGS, you're going to ditch the old PSO2 phasion (most of it) for new NGS phasion because it won't be compatible with NGS model but you can still save phasion templates if for some reason you want to swap back to the old model. All your gear now is essentially meaningless in NGS, Cras gear is just starter gear and eventually you will throw back in storage to rot away while you jump to the next best gear as it releases and naturally it's still worth something if you decide to go run PSO2 content. PSO2 meseta is worthless in NGS so either spend on what you want now to transfer over (weapon camo's, current NGS compatible scratch phasion etc) or just do nothing with it, everyone is going go be starting from 0 N-Meseta anyways.

Even if you jump to Global, you'll just be doing the exact same thing thats going on in JP since they're basically on par with us in content and they'll be simultaneously with us on NGS. It really doesn't matter what server you play on, pick your preference because you're not exactly losing out on much.

I suggest you go find the list of stuff that transfers over unless someone else posts it here, maybe that'll give you a better idea
    Where is this list?

My main reason not to cross to global is camo and accessories. I hope translation team will keep supporting tweaker and translation patch

I, for one, have PSO2 accounts on both JP and Global, and I plan on playing NGS on Global only.

I am "ahead" on JP in some respects, as I have been playing there since Ep. 2, but I have been getting caught up Global along the way, especially now that Ep. 6 content is on Global now. Playing through once on JP allowed me to focus on "low-hanging fruit" on Global with the benefit of hindsight. I am at least "caught up" enough on Global to the point that it would matter on NGS, if it even matters at all.

I've put money into both accounts. There are cosmetics I have in JP that I don't have on Global, but vice versa is true. Some things were easier to get on one version rather than on the other, thanks to Mission Pass, campaigns, differences in price, and etc.

I would rather play the version that is built for my region, complete with translations and full support. I also won't need to deal with any Terms of Service grey areas (or maybe not so grey lol) playing the JP version. And I would rather not spend any extra energy playing on both versions (unlike what I did with PSO2 lol).

I realize that I am not in the same boat as the original poster, but I am seeing the sentiment that it is not worth dropping JP for Global. I don't see it that way at all.

With luck they may even introduce an in game way to translate the text to another language. Now that Microsoft is pumping their millions into the game I am sure they will support things like changing voiced line language and text language. Kind of similar to what FFXIV does. It would be foolish to continue to restrict things like they have been.

I can see this happening in the Global version, if anything due to the fact that subbing is vastly more prefered than dubbing, but I fear that the Japanese version will remain exclusively in Japanese.

It is amusing to me how awkward it is that NGS will have a JP version and a global version. One version exists to serve ONE COUNTRY, and the other version is for the REST OF THE WORLD. The main reason for this is because of its ties to PSO2, where the separate versions made more sense (sort of), and I guess they originally planned for more versions (like SEA lol).

Now that the two versions are closer in parity, Sega would have to make an extra effort to differentiate them, and it seems silly that they would do so. What would it accomplish, except to make the JP version feel like an exclusive club?

I fear this as well, even though having an official English option for the client would be great (and something I feel they should do now that content parity has (nearly) been reached and NGS will launch worldwide etc. etc.

... You... you do know there's a bunch of reasons for that, right? Like, because PSO2 and NGS are linked, all the collab stuff linked too is involved there too. Global never got the Evangelion for instance. Also, entire items/costumes have differences about them, from a Harriet piece having added parts to it, from things on fresh finds being non tradable vs Japan where it is. Then there's the mess with character heights.

Like, in all technicality, they are not the same game.

Seeing how much the PSO2 subreddit has become a true garbage dump
perfectly reflecting the mentality of pure US players since the release of
PSO2NA is by itself a far sufficient reason to NOT leave PSO2JP.
Exporting PSO2 out of JP territory is by far SEGA's biggest mistake.
Apparently, they don't remember what happened with PSU. They will.
