Hullo. Vulpes and I are working on making icons and avatars for our characters (and possibly NPCs), but I was wondering what size (in pixels) the avatars have to be for use here. And if there are any other image specifications, it'd be helpful to know.

    Thanks.

All the ones that are the full size square are 64x64 pixels. The ones that are the little SD characters are less but don't exceed that size.

First avatar, my HUnewearl Amora'kith. Kinda experimenting with making backgrounds. The background for this one should look familiar, since it came from PSOW's scan of the Book of Hunters' pic of the Forest. I cleaned the image up a bit and stuck it behind Amora'kith, after erasing a good deal of icky blue-gray boring background.

'zis suffice for an OK avatar? Let me know before I make more in more or less the same format.

Edit: Changed to *.gif format. MUCH smaller size. ^v^ Also added an additional portrait: my Whitill HUmar Solin. I'm thinking of revising the background because it comes out quite dark, unfortunately.

Since there was a pic of some of the new Episode III character are, I made another couple of avatars:

Are these in the process of being implemented soon? I noticed I'm the only one talking in this thread.

Edit: Added the other character personage and revised the file names.

The reason they don't let everyone have custom avatars is because they want to keep the site PSO-related. It'd be irritating to have DBZ and Final Fantasy portraits all over the site. :S (Though I wouldn't mind a gryphon avatar. ^v^ One of these days I'll have to try and create a rappigryph.)

Hey, I'm the one who said that!

Yes that's right. I have been in other forums and non of them have a specific theme.

Flux avatars are great. Are you gonna do more? How about a Fomarl avatar?

According to another 'avatar want' thread, lollipop said that the site owners, gideon and tommyboy, wanted the site's avatars to be related to PSO only when they created the site.

It's always been like this actually:

if you want to create avatars for the site, post it in fanworks and if they're nice and the staff likes it we'll put it up. No contest necessary. And that was what happened with Neko's avatars.

Maybe there should be a sticky about that?
