When I go to connect it says sending user name and pw and then it says, something is either wrong with my settings or there is matenince. ne help wuld be apreciated.

I know with some ISPs it doesn't send it exactly how it should. I had one at one time, I had to use a special program to translate my password into what I needed to type in to send as password. It's been since the DC days, so I can't remember program or anything. Sorry.
