Never heard of Dacci.
Most likely it's just one of the other guys in the quest looking for information.

Does anyone know the name of that FOnewearl that you have to rescue?
I'm almost positive Dacci is the RAmar with red hair (he uses the partisen in one of the later quests).

Yup, that RAmar (he's a bit chubby) is Dacci. He appears in a number of offline quests, usually just standing around. The FOnewearl is named Rupika. She is the default pictorial FOnewearl Sega/ST uses to depict the FOnewearl class, like how Sue is used for the default HUnewearl and Bernie is used for the default RAmar.

How do you know she's Rapika? I didn't know she was in any other quest(s).
Rupika. Gran Squall is the only quest she appears in, actually. And to see her name just use the word select to pull up her name.
As a simple rule: when playing offline solo in quests you can tell who is who by their arrow/chat-bubble color.
You are the Red character.
Slot 1 is Everybody.
Slot 2 is Green.
Slot 3 is Yellow.
Slot 4 is Blue.
In online solo quests (Seat of the Heart) it's slightly different. Assuming you made the team and never left, anyway.
You are the Green character.
Slot 1 is Everybody.
Slot 2 is Red.
Slot 3 is Yellow.
Slot 4 is Blue.
Edit: The character colors per slot doesn't necessarily follow these guidelines if there's less than three active NPCs.

I did do the WORD SELECT in Gran Squall...I don't remember Rapika.
Rupika. You keep misspelling it. She's in Forest 2. Her name only appears there.
